Anodizing is a process that results in a layer of metal (most often aluminum) oxide on the outer layer of the product. This aluminum oxide forms a protective, durable and decorative film that doesn’t chip or flake like paint.
The process of anodizing metal products does not require dipping to coat – rather the resulting corrosion-resistant layer is formed by the metal itself. Anodizing involves dipping the product into an electrolytic (highly conductive) bath.
A charge is sent to a plate in the tank and to the product. This causes ions from the liquid to oxidize with oxygen at the surface of the metal, resulting in this highly durable, nonconductive layer. Dye can also be added during the process for a sharp-looking finish that is baked in.
Diamond Metal Finishing is a practical and reliable resource for manufacturers who want to add a layer of life and longevity to their aluminum products and parts. Our team will work with you on products with critical tolerances to meet our highest standards of quality.
Our clients benefit from our quality management system and continuous process improvement which allows us to provide the highest quality of service possible.
This makes anodizing a sensible choice for manufacturers of durable, quality products that emulate a strong brand. We help our clients provide premium quality products by doing so ourselves.

To support our efforts In producing the highest degree of quality, we utilize a high output facility. This allows us to accommodate even highly specialized criteria. Whether the product requires minimal or incredibly thick layers of oxide, we can take it on and provide an end result that is to spec and on time.
Anodizing leverages the enhancement of a naturally occurring phenomenon that exists naturally in the metal. As it does not apply any coating or finish we are afforded control of both the thickness and decorative parameters.
Diamond Metal Finishing is well equipped to deliver coatings up to 2 millimetres thick or more. We use a sulfuric anodizing system for processing aluminum parts and products. We run 2 high output systems from our modern facilities which allow us to take on just about any aluminum anodizing project manufacturers can send us.
With ongoing environmental testing, we ensure that our impacts on the communities are only positive. Get in touch with Diamond Metal Finishing to find out how you can benefit from our process and dedication to providing the utmost in quality.
